Dr Lucy Vickers

Doctor of Chiropractic

Graduating 26 years ago in 1999 from the gold standard of Chiropractic Colleges, AECC in Bournemouth, Lucy started out in rural Wiltshire and Bath. Here she crafted her skill on farmers who needed to be pain free fast to “return to work”; and due to the geographical location, many RAF and Army personnel who needed treatment they couldn’t access within the armed forces. She found PTI’s (Physical Training Instructors) were especially fascinated by the specific and complete range of treatments she could offer.

Having built a successful practice and with a Labrador in tow, she moved to London and set up her own Clinic in Marylebone treating quite a few celebrities in the process. At this time she also started out in Farnham where she has worked since 2002. Now fully recommitted to the countryside with a family, Farnham is home; she is often to be seen being pulled from pillar to post by her current Labrador Rosie (see below)

Lucy is more than just a "joint cracker". While she acknowledges the important part good joint manipulation plays in a patients recovery, she knows patients need more than that. Every patient gets massage, stretches, ergonomic and lifestyle advice pertinent to them. Not generic one size fits all, but specific to who they are and what they do on a daily basis. And never forget posture! Lucy is passionate that patients understand just how important posture is in everything they do, and will receive specific exercises and advice on how to correct it.

Dr Nicole Edwards

Doctor of Chiropractic

Nicole joined our practice in 2021 having graduated in 2014 from the University of Johannesburg with a Masters Degree in Chiropractic. Nicole did a stint in both South Africa and Australia before she moved to the UK. Having “fixed” the people of Berkshire she is a wonderful addition to the Team.

Nicole recently completed a Diploma in Nutrition in 2024 and now offers stand alone Chiropractic Nutritional Consultations. This can benefit everyone from menopausal women, sportsmen through to the elderly. Click here for more details in our Nutritional Blog.

Previously she completed a 2 year Post Graduate Degree in Sports Chiropractic. This appealed as it brought techniques in Taping, Extremity Adjusting (loosening the joints of the arms and legs), and Functional Assessment (examining the body mechanically as a whole rather than focusing solely on the painful area). Nicole feels this gives rise to a more focused Rehabilitation Programme.

With a strong passion for helping her patients achieve their health and wellness goals, Nicole combines Chiropractic care with effective rehabilitation strategies. Outside of the clinic, she is dedicated to maintaining an active lifestyle and enjoys traveling whenever she can.

Laura Butchart

sports massage therapist

Laura has recently joined the clinic having moved to combine a career in teaching Physical Education with Sports Massage Therapy.  She has a degree in Sports and Exercise Sciences, a PCGE in Physical Education and is a Level 4 Sports Massage therapist.  While Laura enjoys the variety of treating people of all ages, she is especially passionate about helping active people stay healthy, mobile, and performing at their best. Through Sports Massage, Myofascial Release Techniques and Kinesiology Taping, Laura supports clients in maintaining fit and balanced lifestyles—whether they’re training regularly, recovering from activity, or simply looking to move and feel better day to day.

Her background in physical education gives her a strong understanding of movement, training, and injury prevention, allowing her to tailor treatments that support each person’s individual goals. Laura enjoys working with people who value an active lifestyle and want to keep their bodies functioning well so they can continue doing the activities they love.

Outside of the clinic, or off the sports field, Laura can be found enjoying trail running with her trusty running partner, Harry the Collie-Poo or taking part in fitness classes.  Being a mother of two, as a family, Laura enjoys active holidays, such as skiing or hiking, and will give most water sports a go when the opportunity arises!

Laura is a true believer of keeping active throughout life and especially as we transition into the later years.  Using sports massage to enable people to keep on top of their mobility, muscle soreness and general well-being is the reason under-pinning why Laura trained in Massage.

Yvette Mann

Podiatrist

Yvette has had her business in the Milford/Farnham area since 1997 and was delighted to be now working from the Bourne Chiropractic and Rehabilitation Clinic. Her areas of expertise include treating all foot care needs including nail care, nail surgery, callus and verrucae.

Yvette’s main interest is in biomechanics where assessments are needed to diagnose and treat conditions like hip, knee, ankle, forefoot and heel pain in all ages from young children through to maturation which may well involve the prescription of insoles/orthotics.

All treatments compliment chiropractic and massage therapy very well if deemed necessary.

As well as a very competent and experienced Podiatrist, Yvette is married and a mother of three boys. Her main way of relaxing is walking her sausage dog Morgan around the local Bourne Woods and spending as much time on the water sailing or paddle boarding.

Please visit her website for more details on booking or for further information on treatments offered www.yvettemannpodiatry.co.uk or call on 01483 310298.

Rosie

Rosie is Lucys dog, and while she has no official qualification, she has been known to have a therapeutic effect on her owner.

She loves eating, water, being beaten up by Charlie the cat, running away with children's shoes and destroying the house, not necessarily in that order.
